Reflections of the South |
Ante-bellum Louisiana, a time of majestic plantation homes, serene paddle wheelers floating down the Mississippi, and Mint-Julep on the verandah. A time when men were enchanted by fragile young ladies, known as "Southern Belles". This Southern Belle Doll, Casey has blonde hair and blue eyes. She is dressed in a pink satin and lace gown designed by Evelyn Gonzales and JoAnn Bernard. Accessories include: cameo earrings and a flower headdress. The doll stands 18 inches in height and is set on a hand-crafted wooden pedestal designed by Brian Bernard. (Note: Jewelry and dress fabric/print may vary depending on availability). JoAnn's unique body design allows Casey to be positioned in various ways by bending arms at the elbow joints. This feature adds to the life-like quality of the piece. Accompanying the character doll is a booklet and display card designed by JoAnn to include; the number of the piece, the inspirational sketch, a short bio, and a story about the character. All clay pieces are limited editions of 500. A numbered and signed Certificate of Authenticity is also provided with the character doll.

JoAnn's Comments: This Southern Belle is named for my first grandchild, Casey. She was born with blonde hair and the most gorgeous blue eyes. If their was ever a child made of sugar and spice and everything nice, Casey is her name. She is and will always be my most precious gift received from god, a truly compassionate and loving little miracle.
